Dean Henderson Will Be Unable To Attend Manchester United Training Camp In Scotland.

sport football news

Manchester United will be without goalkeeper Dean Henderson during their training camp in Scotland. He is still recovering from coronavirus.

Henderson tested positive for HIV several weeks ago. However, he is still feeling unwell and has not traveled this week with the rest. Monday's club statement read: "Dean Henderson will be missing Manchester United’s Scotland training camp while continuing his recovery from prolonged fatigue following a COVID-19-related infection three weeks back. "He's expected to return to training soon." The 24-yearold had to withdraw from England's Euro 2020 squad because of a hip problem. He has since fully recovered. It is unknown at this stage if the United Academy product, who made 26 appearances in the last season's Premier League, will be fit enough so that he can start against Leeds in the Premier League game on August 14. David de Gea, the goalkeeper who fought Henderson for the No.1 spot last season has returned to Scotland with the rest after a lengthy summer break that he took following Euro 2020. New signings Tom Heaton, Lee Grant and Lee Grant made guest appearances at United's other preseason friendlies. United's last pre-season friendly will be against Everton at Old Trafford, Saturday.
